We are pleased to announce the City Spotlights High School Internship program for students ages 14 - 19.
City Spotlights is an excellent opportunity for energetic and creative students with an interest in the
performing arts and working with the community, theater companies, professional teaching artists, students,
teachers and families. This program will explore personal stories and the stories of residents from four
Boston neighborhoods to begin to spotlight their individual and collective unique identities.
The City Spotlights internship offers a variety of responsibilities and learning experiences, including:
joining an ensemble of peers led by a performing arts professional to create an original performance piece;
contributing to the creation and implementation of community workshops and performances; communicating with
teaching artists, workshop participants, and theater company managers; increasing knowledge of professional
job readiness skills and resources; and working cooperatively and collaboratively with members of the Citi
Performing Arts Center
SM education staff on large-scale projects and administrative tasks.
